Ruomeng Cui
I am the Goizueta Foundation Term Chair Associate Professor at the Department of Information System and Operations Management at the Goizueta Business School, Emory University. My research focuses on causal-driven decision making in platforms, retail, and supply chains. My research expertise lies in causal-driven decision making, identify-then-optimize models, causal inference, causal machine learning, and economics. I have published papers in leading academic journals, including Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (M&SOM), Production & Operations Management (POM), Harvard Business Review and others. I have won 13 prestigious and highly competitive awards, including the 2022 POMS Early Career Research Accomplishments Award.I currently hold associate editorial positions at Management Science, Operations Research, M&SOM, and POM.
I have consulted in various capacities for Amazon, Alibaba, JD.com, PepsiCo, and collaborated with Tencent, Alibaba, Cainiao, Meituan, Collage.com, Privalia, Jollychic.com, and many other leading firms on realizing business value from operations strategies, data-driven decision-making systems, AI transformations, and digital analytics. I have been a visiting scholar at Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) group since 2022, where I designed, developed, and implemented cutting-edge causal inference, machine learning, optimization, and economic models to drive supply chain decisions in various spaces. I received my Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and B.Sc in Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University.
